SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider position made for intervention ordeals a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all status sassa people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the status sassa servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
